There are many chapters in social studies that I found interesting. The chapter that I thought was the most interesting was chapter 18 or the First World War very interesting because the evolution of the weapons they used was tremendous and at the end of the war Germany was forced to pay for all of the damages the war had done. I found this chapter very interesting.
There are many things that I learned in this chapter. For the first time planes were used. Gas bombs were also used to make the enemy retreat. Machine guns were also introduced with a rapid fire cut down on the time needed to reload. I learned that as a result of the war in certain countries woman were granted the right to vote. I learned many things in this chapter.
As we progressed in the year we learned many new skills. When we learned about ancient Grease and ancient Rome we learned how to use a scale on a map. We also learned how to locate things on a map. Being able to use a scale on a map allows me to measure how long it is in between one place and the next. When you are trying to locate something on a map means that you can find f2 on a grid map. Social studies have given me skills that can help me in the real world.
The sample piece that I am linking is my web quest for medieval Europe because I thougt it was one of the best projects that I worked on.
